Green Infrastructure Maintenance
Green infrastructure is an approach to water management that protects, restores, or mimics the natural water cycle. In the urban Bay Area this means managing storm water runoff, a major cause of water pollution and water overload in storm water catch systems. Korotkin Associates manages and maintains Bioswale/Rain Garden/Green Node/BioRetention infrastructure caring for a specially selected plant palette in a specially blended soil, and through catch basin, sediment, debris and weed control. We maintain many of these features installed by the San Francisco Utilities Commission. Municipalities, public spaces, business complexes and residences are increasingly incorporating these specific elements into renovation projects and new designs.
